The Grimaldi Group purchases a 14% stake in ANEK LINES

Naples (Italy): Within the framework of its strategy to continuously invest in successful companies, heavily active in maritime transport and especially in the Motorways of the Sea in Europe, the Grimaldi Group has recently proceeded to the purchase of a stake in the Greek ferry operator ANEK Lines.

Listed on the Athens Stock Exchange, Crete-based ANEK Lines has just completed a significant capital increase operation to which the Grimaldi Group has participated through the purchase of over 14% of the new share capital of ANEK Lines.

The Grimaldi Group is confident that important synergies and opportunities of cooperation between the two companies could be generated, therefore further promoting the concept of the Motorways of the Sea in the whole Mediterranean basin.

Founded in 1947, the Grimaldi Group is specialised in the operation of roll-on/roll- off vessels, car carriers and ferries. It is a dedicated supplier of integrated logistics services based on maritime transport to the world's major vehicle manufacturers. Through its maritime services, the
Group serves yearly over 120 ports in the Mediterranean, North Europe, West Africa, North and South America transporting worldwide over 1.4 million cars, 1.3 million rolling units, 500,000 containers and 740,000 passengers with its over 120-vessel modern fleet.
