arrowJapan has signed an memorandum of understanding to support the recycling industry in Alang with some USD 20 million. The Gujarat Maritime Board says the Japanese aid will help to upgrade the recycling yards, construct and operate a common hazardous waste removal pre-treatment facility, develop ways to add value to steel products and improve human resources, Seatrade Asia online reports."
